Flight
We cannot stress how quickly the flights to India will book up, especially at this time of year. It is the peak travel season with limited flights, so the earlier that you book your ticket, the more flexibility you will have on dates and competitive prices. We would strongly recommend that you purchase your tickets by early May at the latest. This is not to say that tickets will not be available after this point. It's just that your options will be drastically reduced and the prices are sure to be higher. The closest international airport to the venue is the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. If you are planning on traveling to other parts of India before the wedding, then you can obviously fly in to any airport that works with your travel plans. There are several domestic carriers that can fly you to New Delhi or to Jaipur, which is only 50 kilometers from Samode.

East Coast Travelers:
There are a few gateway cities that will get you to India with ease. Chicago American Airlines has a direct flight to New Delhi. From O'Hare (airport code ORD) to New Delhi (airport code DEL), the direct flight is 14 hours and 25 minutes...not bad to get to the other side of the planet! There are several other carriers which will layover somewhere in Europe...

Alitalia goes through Milan (Chicago to Milan=9 hours/Milan to New Delhi= 7.5 hours)

British Airways goes through London (Chicago to London=7.5 hours/London to New Delhi=8.5 hours)

Continental goes through Newark (Chicago to Newark=2 hours/Newark to New Delhi=14 hours)

Lufthansa goes though Frankfurt (Chicago to Frankfurt=8 hours/Frankfurt to New Delhi=7 hours)

NYC
Continental has a direct 14 hour flight from Newark to New Delhi.

Atlanta
American Airlines will first fly you to Chicago (their hub) and then follow the flight path listed above. Alitalia goes through Milan Though ATL is the hub for Delta, they do not fly directly to New Delhi. They operate their flights to Delhi on a codeshare with a partner airline (Lufthansa or Air France), which makes these tickets slightly more expensive.

Costs
As of early March, we have priced these tickets to be in the range of $1125-$1600.

West Coast Travelers
Flights from the West Coast go in either direction. For example... British Airways goes from LAX to London (10 hours) and then London to Delhi (8.5 hours) Thai Airlines goes from LAX to Bangkok, and on to Delhi Singapore Air goes from LAX to Singapore and on to Delhi
